We are proud of the close relationships our membership have within our local community through special events, community outreach, and charitable fundraising.
November 2023: Our Zone 1 Boys & Girls teams participated in our Thanksgiving Food Drive in partnership with the West Chester Food Cupboard. Fusion delivered 1700+ lbs worth of non perishable food items and personal care items.
October 2023: For Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Penn Fusion teams raised $5180 for locally based charity Unite For Her.
September 2023: The ‘9th Annual Dan Kennedy Golf Classic’ was a huge success raising over $20,000 to assist with our financial aid program.
September 2023: The Penn Fusion membership raised $8360 at the Fusion Charity 5K event; a $8360 donation check was presented to the Headstrong Foundation
July 2023: Sam Ndaro recently travelled to Africa to distribute a Penn Fusion ‘Passbook’ collection to two youth groups.

November 2022: Our Zone 1 Boys & Girls teams (27 teams) all participated in our Thanksgiving Food Drive in partnership with the West Chester Food Cupboard. Fusion delivered 1101 lbs worth of non perishable food items and personal care items.
October 2022: PFSA ran another successful Community Outreach Program at Hillsdale Elementary School for their ELL students.
August 2022: The Penn Fusion membership raised $9000 at the Fusion 5K event; a $4500 donation check was presented to Family Service of Chester County.

June 2022: The ‘1st Annual Fusion Charity 5K Run / 2K Walk’ was launched on June 4, in the West Chester Borough. 184 Runners/Walkers participated with proceeds benefiting the Headstrong Foundation & Family Service Chester County.
April 2022: Dan Kennedy, our President Emeritus, received the EPYSA Service to Youth Award in recognition of his 30+ years of volunteering and leading our organization!
April 2022: Junior Ryan Kuegler is announced as a Union League Good Citizenship Award winner. Candidates demonstrate exemplary qualities cooperative effort, self-control, perseverance, serious scholarship, and good sportsmanship.

Sept 2021: The ECNL 2009 Girls team collected $550 in honor of the 20th Anniversary of 9/11/ The team delivered their donation to the East Brandywine Fire Company.
September 2021: To commemorate the 20th Anniversary of 9/11, the 2009 ECNL Girls team collected $550 to support local first responders. The donation was delivered to East Brandywine Fire Co. in Downingtown.
April 2021: Penn Fusion provided the HEADstrong Foundation with an in-kind Recreation League division jersey sponsorship for the spring 2021 season. The HEADstrong Foundation, offers financial, residential, and emotional support to families affected by cancer.
November, 2020: the Penn Fusion membership raised $3798.00 through a ‘Virtual Thanksgiving Food Drive’.
October, 2020: Penn Fusion player Dylan Steinberg completed a Passback/Kicks for Kensington collection in partnership with the Ertz Family Foundation.
September, 2020: Penn Fusion successfully ran its ‘6th Annual Golf Classic’. Over 100 golfers participated at Broad Run Golf club to raise money for the Financial Aid program.
April, 2020: During the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Penn Fusion membership successfully raised over $5000.00 within a 10 day period for the West Chester Food Cupboard. For over 11 years, the West Chester Food Cupboard has been fighting food insecurity in the West Chester area. They serve over 1,300 residents in need annually and delivered over 1.25 million pounds of food in 2019.
March, 2020: Prior to the start of the spring season, we held a celebration for 72 seniors who secured roster spots at NCAA/NAIA college soccer programs for the fall 2020 collegiate soccer season.
February, 2020: The ‘8th Annual Shoot & Score - Benefit Auction’ in Memory of Mary Zandi was a huge success raising funds for the clubs Financial Aid program.
February, 2020: Our full time staff completed a series of free Soccer-Education clinics for students at Pocopson Elementary School in West Chester.
January, 2020: The Penn Fusion ECNL 2005 Girls team helped out at a local homeless shelter serving hot meals over the holiday period.
November, 2019: Penn Fusion held a Winter Fundraiser and made a donation to the ‘Hope Beyond Borders / Coatesville Kids to College’ program
October, 2019: Another successful Community Outreach Program was delivered at Hillsdale Elementary School for their ELL group. For over a decade Hillsdale has been a consistent partner with our Community Outreach Program.
