5-20-13 -  The PENN FUSION ’98, U14 and the PENN FUSION ’95, U17 Boys teams were crowned National Championship Series EPYSA State Cup Champions after exciting wins this past weekend. The teams are now heading to the Region 1 Championships in Rhode Island in July.  Congratulations to the players and coaches!

 May 7, 2013 - Penn Fusion’s ’96 Boys team (U16) gave back to the community by volunteering at a Scoring Goals for Autism event. This annual soccer tournament fundraiser benefits the Autism Science Foundation.  The team posed in the picture above with Philadelphia Union players!  Thank you boys!

 4/26/13 -  Penn Fusion SA/WCUSC are a founding member of the Northeast Girls National Premier League (NE NPL), starting during the fall 2013 season. The NE NPL will offer a high level of competition for the girls teams right below the ECNL level. The WCUSC Predators Teams (U13-U18) will compete in the NE NPL, a more competitive, better structured environment with a clear focus on player development. The NPL is a perfect addition to our ECNL level and makes our girls program even more exciting.  Click Plus sign for more.

 April 10, 2013 - PENN FUSION ECNL U14 player, SYDNEY ZANDI, was selected to attend the  U.S. Under-14 Girls’ National Team Training Camp, which will be held in Portland, Oregon from May 12th through May 19th. Zandi was identified as one of the top 100 players in the country in her age group and will now have the opportunity to work with members of the U.S. Soccer coaching staff and compete against other elite players. Congratulations Sydney!

 4/16/13 - Penn Fusion ’97G player HANNAH SPECHT was named to the U15 Dallas ECNL All-Event Team from the third event in the 2012-2013 ECNL National Event Series, which was held February 22 - February 24, 2013 in Frisco, TX.  A total of 164 teams from 50 ECNL Member Clubs participated in the event, with games taking place at The Complex at FC Dallas.  The ECNL All-Event Teams are selected based upon nominations from coaches and scouts based upon individual and team performances over the course of the three-game event.  Click here for more on this story.  Congratulations Hannah!

4/16/13 - Penn Fusion players NATE ANTIGNANI, KAILEE COONAN, COLIN MARSHALL, and SYDNEY ZANDI spent the weekend in Charlestown, South Carolina at US Club Soccer’s id2 Spring Training Camp.  US Club Soccer’s id² National Identification and Development Program provides an opportunity for the country’s elite youth soccer players to be identified and developed, while also being scouted for inclusion in U.S. Soccer’s National Team programs.  Click here for more on this story.  Antignani and Coonan also got a shout out from Top Drawer Soccer’s coverage of the event.  Click here for that story.  Congratulations!

 March 28, 2013 - The PENN FUSION ’95B U17 team advanced to the Quarterfinals of the XXXIV Dallas Cup.  They opened play with a draw against RSC Striker (NM).  They won their next games against IMG Academy (FL) and the USYS Region IV ODP (’96) team ending with 7 points on top of the bracket.  Next, they face Santa Clara Sporting of northern California in quarterfinal play.  Good luck boys!  March 29, 2013 - PENN FUSION players ANDREW APRAHAMIAN, ALEXIS AYALA, ANTHONY FONTANA, AND JACOB FRANK were selected to the Eastern Development Program’s Talent Identification Program 18 man Select Team roster to attend the 2013 Dallas Cup.  During the second match against Seleccion RCL Soccer Monterrey from Mexico, APRAHAMIAN was selected Man of the Match.  The team finished bracket play and advanced to the quarterfinals.  Click the plus sign for more on this story.  Congratulations boys!
