January 24, 2012 - Penn Fusion ’96 Girls teammates, KAELYN JOHNS and PHOEBE MCCLERNON, will join Penn Fusion ’95 Girls player MEREDITH MANLEY at the US Youth Soccer ODP National Team Development Camp in Las Vegas on Feb. 7-12, 2012. This invitation-only event brings players together from around the country to train and play alongside fellow elite athletes. PENN FUSION '95 BOYS HEAD TO DALLAS
January 2012 - The Penn Fusion ’95 Boys team is heading to Dallas, Texas to play in the prestigious Dallas Cup. The Dallas Cup is the oldest international youth soccer tournament in the United States, celebrating its 30th year in 2009. Since its inception in 1980, Dallas Cup has played host to teams and referees from over 45 states, 100 countries and 6 continents. The tournament is held every spring from Palm Sunday to Easter Sunday. Good luck and have fun playing the beautiful game!
BRADLEY CALLED FOR U17W NATIONAL TEAM CAMP
January 23, 2012 - Penn Fusion’s DEIRDRE BRADLEY, a member of the Penn Fusion ’96 Girls team, was selected to participate in a Football Association of Ireland Women’s Under 17’s training camp, taking place in Dublin, Ireland in February. NATIONAL LEAGUE PLAYER COMMITTMENTS
Jan. 18, 2012 - US Youth Soccer congratulates Penn Fusion Soccer Academy and all that have qualified for the 2011-2012 National League on their success in developing future collegiate, professional and National Team players. The National League season is at the halfway point and to date, club teams in the U-17 and U-18 National League have produced 275 girls and 108 boys who have committed to play for collegiate soccer programs throughout the country. GUNDERSON, ROBINO, LAURENTO-FALCOFF, AND WATTS SELECTED
January 18, 2012 – Penn Fusion players, Andrea Gunderson, Kendal Robino, Kira Laurento-Falcoff and Bryce Watts were selected to participate in the Elite Clubs National League’s Elite Training Player Development Program (PDP) in Philadelphia. MORRISON CHOSEN FOR U20 NATIONAL TEAM CAMP
January 3, 2012 - CASEY MORRISON has been called up to the U.S. Under-20 Women’s National Team training camp at the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, Calif. U.S. head coach Steve Swanson has called 30 players for the Jan. 5-19 event which will feature many of the top performers from college soccer this past fall. PENN FUSION PLAYERS COMPLETE COACHES COURSE
Dec. 12, 2011 - Eleven Penn Fusion players successfully completed the US Soccer "E" Certification Course for Coaching and earned their "E" coaching license at the EPYSA sponsored course for women in Plymouth Meeting, PA. The players participated in 18 hours of course curriculum over a three day period. The course was the first offered for women only and had 37 candidates participate. CARDAMONE AND HOUPT SET RECORDS
December 6, 2011 - Penn Fusion ’92 Girl teammates, SARA CARDAMONE and BETHANY HOUPT, finished their freshmen season with assist records. CARDAMONE, playing for the College of Charleston, led the Southern Conference in assists with 11 and was chosen for the league freshmen team while HOUPT, playing for Elon University, was named SoCon player of the week, finished with a team best 5 assists and tied for ninth place in the Southern Conference. Congratulations girls!
