Penn Fusion Coach Mentorship Program

With the start of the new season, Penn Fusion Soccer Academy is excited to roll out our new Coach Mentorship Program.

The program will develop our coaches from within the club through formal coaching qualifications (USSF/USC/UEFA) and a personalized professional development plan. The Coach Mentorship Program is a collaborative process where staff coaches and senior staff work together to improve specific aspects to enhance individual coaching performance/impact.  We are excited to roll out this program to assist our coaches on their pathway on the coaching development ladder.

Penn Fusion Mentorship Program Content:

  • Mentors will observe and evaluate your training sessions/games.
  • Mentors will work with you to create a personalized coaching development plan that focuses on: USSF/USC/UEFA licensing, conferences, club visits, shadowing elite coaches, attending national showcases/events etc….
  • Coaches are required to attend selected sessions that your mentor is delivering.
  • Mentors are available to help co-deliver certain coaching sessions.
  • Coaches will be required to attended several at 1 on 1 or group development meetings.
  • Coaches will be invited to attend and take part in future PF Coaching Symposiums.

Penn Fusion Mentorship Program Structure:

  • Maximum of 3 coaches per mentor.
  • Each mentor will work with his/her coaches throughout the season. 
  • Regular meetings with assigned mentor and within small groups discussing: 
    • Technical topics.
    • Trends in world soccer.
    • PFSA player development environment / curriculum.


Mentors will deliver expert advice to coaches and will assist them to move forward on their coaching pathway with the end goal of raising the standards of our coaching and development in PFSA for years to come.
