Feb 28, 2011 - The U.S. U-23 Women’s National Team (WNT) played its first international matches of the year when it traveled to Spain for the Four Nations Tournament featuring the U-23 teams of Sweden, Norway and England. U.S. head coach Bill Irwin brought a roster of 18 players, 10 of whom are professionals in WPS. Penn Fusion congratulates Becky Edwards and Sinead Farrelly on their selection. The U-23 WNT defeated Sweden 4-2 in the opening game and tied England 1-1 in the next game. The USA finishes the tournament on March 1 against Norway. Click here to follow the action.
